The KickStart Breakfast programme is a partnership between Sanitarium, Fonterra and the Ministry of Social Development, with more than 140,000 nutritious breakfasts served each school week in over 1,000 schools that run their own KickStart Breakfast Clubs around New Zealand.
At Fruitvale School, we serve a healthy breakfast of Anchor milk and Weet-Bix, yoghurt and fruit, washed down with a warm milo between 8.00 and 8.45 a.m. Monday to Friday. Our fantastic parent volunteers staff the Breakfast Club. If you would like to be part of the team, please don't hesitate to chat with Jacqui in the office.
Breakfast Club is held in the School Hall and everyone is welcome. KickStart Breakfast is a community partnership initiative helping more tamariki and rangatahi achieve their best by getting a kickstart to their day. KickStart not only helps children nutritionally but also positively impacts their learning behaviours and provides them with a place of belonging.
If you would like to volunteer your time as a Breakfast Club Hero, please don't hesitate to contact Jacqui in the office or email [email protected]
